From Mail to Menus and Private Boxes to Belgian Beer – the Mt Eden Post Office has a new lease of life with the opening of De Post Belgian Beer Café.

The Mt Eden Post Office was established in 1886 by Mr A Cucksey, initially as a telephone bureau. Soon after a post office was opened, with a money-order office and savings bank.

After a long life as a post office, commencing with one daily delivery by a mounted letter carrier, the Mt Eden Post Office closed on 27th January 1989.
